The plot follows two young girls, Victoria and Lily, who are found living alone in the woods five years after being abandoned by their father. The girls have survived with the help of a mysterious maternal figure, who they call “Mama.”
The girls are taken in by their uncle Lucas and his girlfriend Annabel, who try to provide them with a stable home. However, it soon becomes apparent that Mama is not just a figment of the girls’ imagination. This supernatural entity is jealous of the girls’ new caregivers and seeks to reclaim them for herself.
